Yes, groupon (or maybe it was living social?) got me again; in a moment of whimsy i purchased the winery tour groupon without thinking it through. meaning… it’s about to expire (this weekend!) and i need to use it. And, quite honestly, I’ll be damned if I’m going to let ANOTHER one of those things not get used (yes, you’re right, I should have learned my lesson with the sushi-making class). So… I’m looking for someone to join me for a full day of visiting a couple wineries via Reston Limo.
I know what you’re thinking, “won’t it be awkward?” and the answer is YES! yes it will be awkward. awkward for you, awkward for me and also awkward for the server who has to spend a good hour or so serving us and trying to be social. So instead of denying the awkwardness, let’s embrace it and really freak out the server! Let’s really crank up the bad conversation and extend those long pauses to excruciating lengths. let’s not make eye contact for the whole time and instead stare into our glasses. Let’s chew our fingernails and eat way too many complimentary nuts and breadsticks, all in an effort to make this the most awkward and uncomfortable experience for our server. we, on the other hand, will be thoroughly entertained.
The great thing about this tour is that there are two wineries to visit. So we can see what material works the first time and try out some new stuff for the second. Or, if you’re really feeling on your game, we can create a whole backstory together so many places we could take that story. Really want to make it creepy? Great, I’m a gal who posted on CL looking for a date to a winery and you’re the guy who replied…. oh wait…
